Mugshot Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 6, 2026
Mugshot is designed as a private, local-first coffee journal.
Data Mugshot Handles
Mugshot can store the coffee photos, stickers, drink names, caffeine amounts, timestamps, and notes that you choose to log. This data is stored locally on your device.
Mugshot may request access to:
- Camera, so you can take a coffee photo.
- Photo Library, so you can import a coffee photo or save a recap image.
- Apple Health, only if you enable caffeine sync in Settings.
Apple Health
Apple Health sync is optional. If you turn it on, Mugshot writes Dietary Caffeine amount and time to Apple Health. Mugshot uses Health access only for caffeine sync and does not use Health data for advertising, tracking, or sale.
Data Collection
Mugshot does not require an account and does not collect personal data on a developer server. Mugshot does not track you across apps or websites. Mugshot does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
Sharing
If you choose to export a backup or share a recap image, you control where that file goes. Mugshot does not automatically upload your coffee log, photos, stickers, notes, or Health data to the developer or to third parties.
